[So Jormungandr had gotten his own package. Upon opening it, he found it didn't contain anything, but his mouth tasted different. Different, but it was a familiar kind of difference.

He knows this taste.

It's the taste of his poison.

Interesting.

THROUGHOUT THE DAY should you encounter Jormungandr you may notice that he's licking his lips and the inside of his mouth... kind of a lot. He's still getting used to having the poison back, after all. It's not a new taste in general but it is for this form. It might be a little weird to witness, though.]

[Oh, hey, it was that Jormungander guy again! Just walkin' around, being all tall and tough and quiet and... man, he's walking around as though he had something gross stuck in his teeth.

Luckily, Picky had just spent a bit of his allowance on CANDY. So he jogs on over, grinning.]

Jormungander! [STILL pronouncing it wrong...] Hey! You okay?

[midgardserpent]

[It's the kid. Huh. He tilts his head and raises an eyebrow before shrugging lightly. He's fine.]

Oh. [He's okay? But...] Cuz you look like you have something stuck in your teeth.

[And he goes silent while he makes some rather silly faces, with tooth-prodding and tongue-running-along-teeth action and what have you.]

...like that!

[midgardserpent]

[He looks mildly surprised. He hadn't realized. He blinks, and manages to catch himself licking at his teeth again, and stops.]

You're still doing it...

[An idea comes to the kid. He takes the paper bag that he's been carrying, opens it up, and fishes around through all that candy that he bought.]

Uh... here!

[He holds out his hand. There's a pack of spearmint gum.]

Maybe that'll help?

[midgardserpent]

[Jormungandr stares at it for a moment, then takes it in his hand, looking at it.

He looks back down at Picky, eyebrow raised.

What is it?]

[imjustpicky]

...it's gum! It's good!

[And to demonstrate this, Picky slides a stick out of the outer wrapping, unpeels the foil, and holds the flat stick of gum up to show it off. Then he pops it in his mouth and starts chewing.]

You chew it! It tashtes good! Don't shwallow it, though!

[The gum is offered again. Maybe now?]

[He copies Picky and chews some thoughtfully. It's an interesting taste, especially when combined with that already in his mouth.

But it's rather enjoyable. After a moment, he nods his thanks to Picky.]

[He helped! This is great! This is awesome! He has totally done is good deed for the day. He beams at Jormungandr.]

No problem! [He moves the gum to his cheek, so he can speak a little more clearly.] It'll make your breath smell good, too.

[midgardserpent]

[He raises an eyebrow again. Does it really? Interesting.]

[Picky nods enthusiastically.]

That's one of the big reasons people chew gum. I think.

It might have to do with kissing... [Then he makes a face. Yuck. Kissing.]

[Jormungandr blinks, surprised.

Yuck. Kissing.]

[imjustpicky]

[Kissing. Totally gross! So great that they're on the same page about this!]

I gotta go! I'll see you, Jormungander! [And assuming nothing else is needed, Picky will dart off. He totally had other people to share candy with.]

[Jormungandr nods and watches the kid run off, chewing the gum thoughtfully.

Huh.]
