[It's been two months and Jormungandr's patience has run out. The drones in his house have gotten on his very last nerve, and combined with all the anger and frustration that he's been building up over the town, his being brought there, the pointlessness of it all... well he's just had enough.

So bright and early this morning, he kills all the drones in his house. He knows it won't last, he's been told that death doesn't last here, but it helps. Relieves tension, as it were.

Anyone walking down Hastings Boulevard this morning will probably see Jormungandr. With blood on his clothes. Yup. He looks completely unperturbed by it.

By around midday he's managed to clean most of it off, but he's still walking around town with... strange red stains on his clothes and hands. Oh dear.

[He rolls his eyes. Not particularly. But hey, at least he gets a day off.]

[Jormungandr shrugs and points ahead of him vaguely. He doesn't really have a destination in mind, he was just... walking. Thataway.]

Right, that's a start. [he's already fallen into step with him, up for some aimless walking himself]

[And despite still having a lot of blood on him Jormungandr seems completely unfazed. He's just walking. It's a nice day.

...he does enjoy the sunlight. That much is a nice change after who knows how many centuries under the sea.]

[Oh. It's a question he actually has to answer verbally. Whatever, it's one he's answered before so it's not as big a deal.]

[Nessy? Who the Hel is Nessy? He shrugs a little. Whether it explains things or not... he doesn't really care.]

Famous myth. Kind of like vampires really. You and me are just racking up things in common by the minute.

[He'll take your word for it, Spike. He doesn't really know much about vampires. Like. At all.]

[He snorts, shaking his head a little] No, I guess you wouldn't have heard any of this, being 2000 leagues under.

[Jormungandr snorts. You'd be surprised how much he hears, but no, it isn't much, and no, nothing about vampires.]

Well, it's like this. I used to be human, a couple hundred years ago. Traded that life in though.

[...interesting. Jormungandr looks at Spike with some curiosity. How does that work?]

When you get turned--to a vamp, I mean--you die. Another vampire has to kill you, bring you back. Clean and even trade; your soul for immortality and a new family. That is, if they want anything to do with you.

[Jormungandr nods. That makes sense.]

[He looks up.] But I got my soul back. Fought for it tooth and nail. Only to get a clean slate dumped in my lap.

But the pamphlets say it might not be permanent.

[Jormungandr nods. He's been told that people have been given parts of themselves back, but it hasn't happened to him. Not yet.]
