Well the drones do address him as Jormungandr. Also he won't be completely mute forever, once he gets the hang of talking he'll talk when he absolutely has to but otherwise stay quiet.
If he talks about Leviathan Jormungandr will be interested and possibly mildly confused, but he probably won't think it's him. He is the only massive sea monster in Norse Mythology, but he's also aware of other worlds so it's not like there's no way there could be other monsters.
