[Sixth] Action
Outside 839 Hastings
[Jormungandr doesn't usually check the mail, he doesn't really care. But today there's a package. And it's addressed to him. He picks it up and turns it over in his hands. It doesn't look particularly strange, nor does it weigh very much.
Jormungandr finds himself curious.
So he opens it. It's empty.
But suddenly he feels a whole lot stronger than he did before he opened the package.
He blinks, staring down at his hands.
When he heads back inside he accidentally pulls the door right out of the frame.
...
Oops.]
Around Town
[And now he'll be walking around town late afternoon/evening as he tests his regained strength on various things. Like trees in the park. Or cars parked on the street. He's not trying to show off, really. In fact he's trying not to draw attention to himself. But when you're pulling small trees right out of the ground, roots and all, you're bound to draw at least a little attention to yourself.]
((OOC: So yeah Jormungandr, who is naturally a HUGE ASS SEA MONSTER has regained a small amount of his natural strength. Put that into a human body and you basically get super strength. He's still getting used to it though, so he may be breaking stuff for a couple of days. But hey, he's already way tall. Now he's way strong, too. Best not mess with this guy.))

And for the first time, a small smile creeps onto his face.
Yes.
He walks over to intercept Thor.]

Ho, Serpent!
[He stops in front of him, his stance impatient - he's in no mood to be waylaid on his path home. That smile gives him pause, though - he's never seen an expression like that on Jormungandr's face before.]
...Just swallowed a fat rat, Serpent? Or have you learned the meaning of a jest today?
no subject
Not today.
Still grinning that strange eerie grin that somehow doesn't seem right on his face, Jormungandr pulls his fist back and punches Thor in the face.
This was, of course, how Jormungandr first greeted Thor upon meeting him here. But this time, this time, Jormungandr has greater than human strength on his side.]

It's a repeat of their first meeting, yes - but Thor's regained none of his strength, and the hit takes him straight in the nose. He hears it break almost before he's registered what happened - and then he staggers back, too blinded by pain and shock to counterattack.
He lets out an enrages bellow and tastes blood - he's taken heavy wounds before, but somehow this pain is nearer, more real, and accompanied with a hefty dose of surprise that it happened at all.]
By what sorcery--?
[His voice is muffled from the broken nose, but somehow it doesn't diminish the anger in his face.]

He just hopes it hurts.]

...but ultimately, that victory would be hollow, meaningless. The only death that matters is the final one, and this is not Ragnarok.
So Jormungandr will just stand there, holding Thor's fist in his, and squeeze just a little, just to show Thor what he could do, but won't.]

But he covers the expression quickly, his face dropping into a deep scowl. He will never concede defeat to Jormungandr. Not if it means his life, whether here or in a place where death actually means something. He jerks back, hoping to pull his fist from Jormungandr's grip.]
...This is a cruel joke of Mayfield's-- as if you were not insufferable before.
[They are bold words, but they conceal a real and growing worry - he has no weapon here.]
no subject
He could beat Thor within an inch of his life and then leave him alive. Or leave him to die of blood loss. That would be interesting.
Or maybe he could just not injure him any more and let him go. That would be interesting, too.
Both would probably infuriate Thor to no end. And really, that would be the most interesting.
He can't quite decide.]

[They're bold words, but Thor's struggling remains worthless. With a strangled yell he lashes out, striking with his opposite hand, attempting to plant a kick on Jormungandr's leg or torso, somewhere that will drive him back. At this point it matters little to him if he pulls his own arm off, so long as Jormungandr lets him go.]

When he speaks it is with contained fury that would make any other being in the realms tremble. It is only greater because he knows that Jormungandr will not.]
Release me. Fight me like a man!
[He cares little if he dies - all that matter is that he not die like this.]

The moment Thor knows he is defeated is clear in the way his shoulders drop. The disgust and anger in his face are clear even through two black eyes.]
You are low. You are a worm, and the son of a worm - you are a coward and a liar, a serpent in a man's skin! When I have my hammer again, I swear--!
no subject
He can't help what he is, and insulting him for it is stupid.]

[Thor glares for a long moment, and then with a low growl turns on his heel and leaves, showing Jormungandr his back. He wipes at his bleeding nose with the back of one hand as he goes, accomplishing absolutely nothing.
Damn the serpent. Thor almost hopes he'll try to kill him while his back is turned. Even a meaningless Mayfield-death would be better than this humiliation.]
no subject
That was definitely interesting.]
